About this listen
This is Jack London's companion piece to The Call of the Wild and is the story of the life of a dog who is mostly wolf. Set in the Canadian wilderness during the Gold Rush, the tale opens with his birth in the wild and subsequent deliverance to a Mackenzie Indian named Grey Beaver. We follow him growing from puppyhood among the Indians, through a career as a "fighting wolf" for a despicable owner, to his ulltimate rescue by a kindly Southerner.

Oldie but goodie
This book was first published in 1906. It’s an oldie but goodie and is mostly from the perspective of the animal. White Fang is part dog, part wolf. He is born in the wild, then taken in by humans, some violent, some peaceful. The novel explores the nature of animals and humans. What makes us who we are? Are we born that way or made that way? Nature vs Nurture. If we stray down the wrong path, is there a way to redemption? I enjoyed the story and the narration of the audiobook was very good.
