About this listen

I’m in love with my best friend.

Lie.

I’m in love with my enemy.

Truth.

But they’re the same.

They. Are. The. Same.

Lines in my world are blurry between fantasy and reality. Truth and lies. Love and hate.

Copeland Justice is my enemy. My once best friend. The sadist in my heart plucking and pulling at every thread of who I am until I’m unraveled at his feet.

His mouth says he hates me. His eyes burn with animosity for me. His heart beats for someone else.

But Copeland Justice is the best liar of us all.

Tons of young love!

3.5 Blue Roses
5 Blue Flames

Dual Narrators Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan is a winning team. Their voices are both extremely sexy and separately they are well accomplished as narrators already. Although this is a story about younger men, their delivery did not feel like I'm listening to a young adult audiobook.
In fact the sex scenes were way too hot, almost bordering on erotica. I never thought I will ever complain about too much sex, but this one was peppered with young horniness which made me wish I was young and back at university again.
The drama waxed and waned through the regular straight to gay drama.
I just couldn't find anything to like about this audiobook, except for the tons of sex and the HEA.
If you like young romance with lots of sex then this one is for you, enjoy!

Highs and Lows and OTT

I have no words for how much I loved every minute of this book. The two leads are dramatic and funny and two halves of one whole. And then it was 'us against the world' and being there for each other. Throw in all the angst and the drama of two 18 year olds in high school and you have a great new-adult novel. It very briefly touches on sensitive topics, but 95% is all about the two leads' relationship with a nicely tied-in-a-bow HEA. It's a coming of age, GFY, best friends to enemies to lovers read.

So, about Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton. If you've never listened to this duo read, you are missing out on greatness. Whatever Jacob was doing as Cope's voice had me grinning and loving every second of his chapters. That's not to say that Teddy was ever lacking as Penn. Not at all. These two weave narrations around each other like a dance. I am in love and obsessed with their individual and joint works --- HIM + US + Epic, One Time Only, Scoring With Him, Top Secret, Roommate, The Understatement of The Year --- And yet I wish there were more books out there with this duo and their amazing voices. Definitely 100% recommend!

(Also, the cover art is brilliantly ambiguous and works for either Penn or Cope.)
