About this listen
I was 21 when the gypsy read my future:
As punishment for your crimes, you will only love one woman...but she'll never love you back.
I didn't believe a word of it.
Until I met Sofia Romano almost 10 years later.
I fell hard for this woman. Would die for this woman.
But she left me.
Now, years have passed, and Sofia needs a husband. Her father is gone, and her mother is trying to marry her off to a man that can protect their family, protect their company.
She's looking for someone powerful.
Check.
Someone rich.
Check.
Someone handsome.
Double check.
Now, it's my chance to have the only woman I've ever loved...and I'll make sure she feels the same way.
I have a lifetime to make that happen.

Books 1-3 ***SPOILIERS
I think book 1 is pretty unique and well written. However, book 2 & 3 are a fair bit annoying. As the series continues the hero's actions contradict the basis of his character, In other words, for a man that is suppose to be very intelligent and capable, he ends up being rather inept. I'm not referring to his emotional growth and loving the heroine. Instead, I'm referring to his lack of ability to handle security, investigation and safe guarding his business interests. At this point in time, I'm fairly frustrated with authors writing the 'romance' aspect of the book fairly well but not staying with accurate character development and not paying attention to the logic of the story line / character actions. As well, there is the threat of rape from the villain that carries on throughout book 2 & 3 and 4 and quite possibly book 5. This is just too much. It just seems like more and more of the same 'stuff'. On a positive note, the author does do quite a good job of introducing the subject of sexual assault without being crass. She also does a fairly good job at writing about the affects of sexual assault in a couple clever ways. BUT, it gets to the point when I, as a listener, just want to move on with the story and need to get to the point when the intelligent characters in the series actually start behaving like they really are intelligent.

Total waste of time
The author spends too much time describing the love scene. This is so repetitive and boring. It is as if the author did not have much to say about the plot of his book and filled the pages with boring sex scenes.
