About this listen
Few writers have explored the human dark side with as much insight and power - and in Winter Prey, his shattering New York Times best-seller, Sandford tells his most ice-blooded tale of all. Minneapolis Lieutenant Lucas Davenport has tracked killers in cities across America. But even he may be unprepared to face the savage murderer hunting human prey in the Wisconsin woods this winter.

Solid but not great
While it has it's twists and turns, this is definitely not one of Sanford's strongest "Prey" novels.
The story is interesting and it keeps you guessing who the illusive Iceman man might be, but it lacks in terms of immersion and comes across as a filler for the series.
Still the legend of Lucas Davenport grows with this book and I look forward to the next in the series.
