When the world ends, who will tell our story?

After a disease ravages his underground community, Winter escapes with his daughters to the dangerous surface of Earth. With the planet largely abandoned, he has no one to help him make sense of this strange new world while trying to keep his children alive. But the surface is not all complicated artifacts and relics of a deserted universe. Winter is certain someone - or something - is hunting them.

He weaves wild tales to entertain and teach his daughters, turning ordinary Earth inventions into props for wild fairy tales, stories where celebrities become demigods and historical figures transform into ice giants. As his journey grows darker and more dangerous, his mythologies keep his children, and himself, from confusion and despair.

With tensions rising and danger at every corner, will Winter keep his family alive long enough to finish his tales?

A post-apocalyptic dystopian nightmare!

What happens when humanity is wiped out before you even get a chance to truly come to know it??
That's the world Winter and his daughters face when they are forced to leave the only home they've ever known. To survive in this new world they are going to have to learn to adapt and trust , going against all they've been taught.
I fell in love with the characters immediately. Chock full of personality, perseverance, and resilience.
The monsters were creative and terrifying!
This story was deliciously weird and so much fun! Filled with adventure, intrigue, and suspense, and even a well placed dash of humor thrown in here and there.
Sean Cordry did a spectacular job of bringing this story to life and helped me really feel all the emotions! Fear, anger, frustration, sadness, hope. All.The.Emotions!
Whether you like Kevin Bacon, horror, fantasy, mythology, sci-fi or dystopian thrillers...this book has it all, literally!
