Enjoyed the narration.
Great first book.enjoyed the steamy scenes. I just started reading this series. It crosses with characters from the authors other series. Which is really fun. Reminds me of the tv show supernatural. Really enjoyed this book.

Super cute!
if you likes Supernatural, you'll like this. Similar story vibes, but more romance. Fun listen.

Good start but...
I seriously could not stand the secondary character. He flip flopped in his feelings and convictions, accepted proof then later questioned everything, and ended up a whiney idiot too dumb to live. It took a lot of effort to actually finish this listen. The plot ended up pretty shallow too, even though the start was compelling. I honestly could not understand what the main character even liked about the love interest! It was a series of the love interest being saved from his stupidity, followed by repetitive spicy scenes that did not follow natural timing at all. Overall, I'd pass on this one.

fun but basic
If you like very light storytelling set in apparently the Supernatural universe (same magic, ghosts, salt etc) you might enjoy this. It kinda seems like fanfic but without the emotional depth and charisma of the original characters, nor much atmosphere. I don't think the narrator did it any favours with his light, flippant tone even in moments of peril. The stakes were high in theory but it was a bit hard to care considering the tone of the writing and tone of the reader.
