I dont know what was going on with the other version of this audio book on the store. But I'm glad this version doesnt sound like it was recorded in a echo chamber. Returned that bought this and was not dissappointed. Great book. Great Series. Loved it start to finish. Todd Mclaren is superb.

I could only stand about 5 minutes before stopping.

Audio design/editing terrible and distracting with added effects. Narrator didn't get even the basic portrayal of the protagonist correct. As others have noted, pronunciation of his surname flubbed. It's hard enough as a listener to switch to a different narrator for the last book in a trilogy as it is. This implementation did not help.
