Maybe I can't remember the last date I was on, but if I want to master being a strong woman, then this is a good place to start. It's just dating, right? Normal life stuff. Not so much.
Everyone around us has these strange golden eyes...and there are the questions no one will answer. And who cares if there's a lot of wildlife running around at night? I do, especially when a wolf keeps sneaking into my backyard. I have a kid to worry about. Things have got to change before someone gets bitten!

My neighbors say I don't belong here, and they don't mean because I'm Hispanic. Never mind that I just heard a man growl. Now they're talking about fated somethings, and I'm pretty sure they mean me. I feel like I'm going crazy! Because when I said I wanted to learn how to be strong, this wasn't what I meant at all. Still, when it comes to taking care of my little girl, I will definitely learn how to be the biggest bitch on the block.
I just hope that doesn't become literal.

Fun steamy urban fantasy
A little slow at parts (could have been edited down a little), but overall enjoyable. Great Audible Plus read! I purchased book 2, so we'll see how the series continues. I liked the characters and the non-insta-love aspect to the story. A good mix of relationships actually flushed out a bit in a reverse harem story.

This is what I'm talking about.
If you're looking for a classic smutty bedside table romance novel with mordern(ish) values and you're into romantic g*ngb*ngs, this is for you.
I will be honest, I was not a fan of the male narrators but most chapters were narrated by Lola James who did an amazing job. The characters were decently fleshed out, although a bit shallow (but I'm sure the following books will get more into it as there is five(5) male interests) and there are a lot of things in it I was not a fan of, but it worked out and I found myself getting invested in the story and having a pretty good time.
I recommend!

Listened to the whole thing within 24 hours!
I couldn't stop listening. By the end of Chapter 3/4 I was pulled in. There were a couple of things in the storyline that could have been written much better, so in some ways it felt rushed, but it still held my attention.
The narration I would give a 5 out of 10 though......I enjoyed how we got a few different POV's but I feel like that should have been committed 100% instead of 50%. Like when it was Elena's point of view but Ian or Lane was speaking , the person who narrated for them should have been speaking. That was the most annoying part for me.
So it definitely could have been written and narrated much better, with my conclusion coming to the fact that it felt sloppy and rushed. However that has not deterred me from checking out other novels from the same author.

Couldn’t stop listening
I almost stopped listening to this book on chapter 1. Just wasn’t into it at all but saw the high reviews and gave it a few more chapters. I’m so glad I did. It’s slow to start but picks up. I couldn’t stop listening! Super steamy sex scenes, great characters and a different spin on werewolves than other books I’ve read. Can’t wait to start listening to the next book.
