About this listen
Logan has begun to experience memories of time spent serving in the Canadian army during World War II. When he digs deeper, he discovers that he was held as a prisoner of war at a concentration camp and experimented on by a ruthless Nazi scientist determined to unlock the secrets of Logan's mutant healing properties. What Logan doesn't know is that the scientist is still at large, his thirst for immortality unquenched by time. Now that he knows Logan is alive, he'll stop at nothing to finish what he started 60 years earlier....

Great For Wolverine Überfans..
..not as much for everyone else.
Canadian SciFi/Fantasy author Hugh Matthews clearly loves this X-man - penning a story about a sadistic WWII Nazi researcher who experimented on Logan trying to uncover the secret to the nigh-immortal hero's healing factor and seeking him out in the present day. Somewhat disappointingly, most of the author's effort is spent exploring & developing the character of everyone's favorite mutant. The book is more preoccupied with plot progression than action.
Fortunately, I love the "Patch" persona - fighting for Canada against the Third Reich - and Baron Von Strücker is an underused villain. I wasn't as entertained as much as I might have hoped, but I was edified most effectively.
As to presentation: Reader Seth Podowitz struggles with German accents. Fortuitously for audiobook aficionados, his performance is otherwise pitch-perfect (notwithstanding the occasional overenunciation).
Altogether, 'Wolverine: Lifeblood' merits 8 stars out of 10. If you are a fanatic about the character, Matthews will remind you why you love the guy. If you're a more casual follower, there are better (adrenaline-driven) titles available for your Credit.

Ok
If you’re very interested in the psychology of wolverine and him learning about his past this is definitely a really good book for you. But overall there wasn’t a lot of action and the story was OK

Solid all round
Worth a listen for Wolverine fans. One of the better novels I have listened to or read about Wolverine.
