World War Z: The Complete Edition (Movie Tie-in Edition): An Oral History of the Zombie War is a new version of Max Brooks' episodic zombie novel. The abridged versions of the original stories are now joined with new, unabridged recordings of the episodes that were not included in the original (abridged) version of the audiobook. These additional episodes feature a star-studded cast of narrators to coincide with the upcoming release of the film.
New narrators include Academy Award-winning director Martin Scorsese, Spiderman star Alfred Molina, The Walking Dead creator Frank Darabont, rapper Common, Firefly star Nathan Fillion, Shaun of the Dead's Simon Pegg, and members of the casts of Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes and more! Max Brooks will be reprising his role as The Interviewer.
The original abridged edition, released in 2006, won an Audie Award for Best Multi-Voiced Performance. Original cast members include Alan Alda, Mark Hamill, Carl & Rob Reiner, and John Turturro.
In this new classic of apocalyptic fiction that feels all too real, the Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. The documentary-style oral history records the testimony of men, women, and sometimes children who came face-to-face with the living, or at least the undead, hell of that dreadful time.
Featuring five more hours of previously unrecorded content, this full-cast recording is read by F. Different and so much better than the movie!
The voice acting on this book makes the whole experience very immersive! The stories are very relatable, characters from all over the globe brings the story close Fontoura reality, no matter where you from.
If you like a good old storytelling, this is definitely a book for you.
Have fun and hope you guys enjoy as much as I did.

Excellent
One of the greatest audio books there is! I have enjoyed this one for years, only recently purchasing The Complete Edition. The narration style, based off interviews post war, is very entertaining. The huge cast of well known voice actors adds to the immersion. This book is a must listen/read every year for me. Too bad the movie wasn't even remotely close to being as good as this book. Even if you don't like 'zombies', this is a keeper.

awesome story!

Such an enthralling listen
The full cast really makes this audio book a fully fleshed out (pun not intended) listen. I listened to it as I commuted to and from work and found the drive was never quite long enough.

An old favorite
All star cast gives a great sense of realism to this book, written as a UN after action report on a War some of its fans keep hoping will come to pass. Please don't judge this story against the movie that released a while back now - The only similarities World War Z the film has in common with the book, is the title. Which was quite a let down for an old fan like me.

Extremely captivating

Spellbinding
This is a keeper. The storyline is superbly laid out, the build of the plot tension is perfect.
How can you lose with the narrators? This is my 2nd run with this book and I keep finding different perspectives.
