About this listen
In his rustic, storyteller fashion, Bud Ham shows listeners how to reduce or eliminate fear in their lives by the simple process of making love-based decisions.
"The passion of my mission had its roots in my youth when I rejected the dogma and doctrine of organized religion. I drifited in and out of several Christian denominations, always seeking answers to questions which religious people could not answer to my satisfaction. My joy and enthusiasm for life and learning have been sharply curtailed by the sobering reality that we live in a troubled world from which I cannot escape. I frequently think of the many children who go to sleep hungry every night, many of them wet and cold. I also think about the many sons and daughters of God who wander homeless, hungry, and confused in every major city.
I am also painfully aware of the horrendous wave of violence sweeping the country, bringing unspeakable pain to victims and perpetrators. I pray for both. I also pray for the safety of the policemen and policewomen who are caught up in the mayhem.
The mission of my writing was to tell people there must be, there had to be, a better way. I believe what we are doing as a society isn't working and so we must try something different. I am locked into a mind-set which tells me, if what we are doing isn't working it's just common sense to experiment, test, try something different, but don't continue doing what isn't working.
If you chose to learn and grow toward the quality of life you desire to create, where you are now is the right place. It cannot be otherwise. You are in the starting gate. The only questions are, will you decide to run? If so, when?"
