Episode 2: Much time has passed since Samuel’s visit, and David remains trapped in a growingly wearisome shepherd’s life. However, as King Saul is newly plagued by dark spirits, it seems that prayerful song is the only remedy.
Story Synopsis: After years of warring factions and corruption of the priests and prophets, the Israelites demand that God give them a king. Despite the warning of the prophet Samuel, King Saul is anointed. While Saul is a great warrior and leader, God is angered when he unlawfully offers a sacrifice and disobeys divine instruction. Learning that the kingdom will be taken from him, Saul becomes increasingly paranoid. As Saul slips into madness a future king begins to rise, one who is arguably the greatest king the world has ever seen: King David.
