I can't believe I had never heard about Mani! He was a prophet from ancient Iraq who expanded on the teachings Jesus, Zoroaster, and the Buddha.
Most interestingly he believed in looking critically at religious texts and trying to understand them from a logical perspective. One text he was most interested in was THE BOOK OF GIANTS- a lost scripture of the Bible.
Though we hardly hear about Mani, he left a long lasting impact on the religious world and there are traces of him everywhere.
