    The Super Bowl celebrations continue for Australia’s Jordan Mailata and the Eagles. After a long night in New Orleans, Mailata appeared on NBC’s Today Show. He’s the first Aussie to win a Super Bowl, as the Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22.

    LIV Golf returns to Adelaide this weekend, with 100,000 fans expected. Two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson told Sunrise there’ll even be animals.

    Sam Konstas couldn’t rescue NSW on day four of the Sheffield Shield against Queensland. Chasing over 400, he was out for 22.

    Perth Wildcats star Bryce Cotton won his fifth NBL MVP. Andrew Gaze holds the record with seven.

  • Connolly debut, Spurs challenge, Fremantle setback

    Rising star Cooper Connolly will debut for Australia in the second Test against Sri Lanka. The 21-year-old allrounder has yet to take a first-class wicket but has impressed acting captain Steve Smith with his off-spin.

    Ange Postecoglou faces his biggest test as Tottenham manager, taking a 1-0 lead into the League Cup semi-final return leg at Anfield. The winner meets Newcastle in the final at Wembley.

    Fremantle ruckman Sean Darcy will miss the start of the season. He needs surgery to have a screw removed from his right ankle which caused an infection.
