We discuss the unfortunate early days of the Boarding Schools and the shameful and traumatic history and trauma that many people still live today. We dive into the recent news the last few years about the discovery of unmarked graves at these schools. We discuss the total numbers of boarding schools since the onset of the boarding school system, as well as the different types of boarding schools (Government run, church run) as well as the boarding schools that still operate today. We talk about the many resources and organizations doing work today such as the National Indian Boarding School Healing Coalition.
