  • This week, we’re taking a minute to talk about Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which has a lot going for it, but also a lot working against it. Between Ubisoft’s financial woes, two delays, a bunch of other big games including but not limited to Ghost of Yotei, plenty of backlash online, and the fact that it’s yet another big open-world Assassin’s Creed game, it might not stick the landing. But hey, what’s wrong with yet another big open-world Assassin’s Creed game? We haven’t really gotten one of those since Valhalla in 2020, and it’s not like they’re putting out Far Cry games as quickly as they used to. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws were both technically big open-world Ubisoft games, but they didn’t quite scratch the same itch.
