Are you struggling to create a daily routine that helps you stay balanced and purposeful as a Christian military wife or mom? If your days often feel unproductive, you're not alone. In this episode, I'll share how building a well-rounded daily routine can bring peace and purpose to your life as a military Christian woman. We’ll explore how you can prioritize spiritual growth, family care, physical health, and social relationships—creating a routine that honors God in the busyness of military life. Plus, I've created a free Balanced Living and Daily Routines Chart to help you get started! Head over to selahbiblicalcounseling.com and find it under the Resources tab.

Talking Point 1: Prioritizing the 4 Key Areas of Your Life Before we create a daily routine, we need to identify our priorities. We'll focus on 4 essential areas to include in your routine:

    1. Spiritual – Strengthening your walk with God
    2. Family/Home – Caring for your husband, kids, home duties, and appointments
    3. Physical – Maintaining exercise, healthy eating habits, and physical wellness
    4. Social – Connecting with loved ones, friends, and nurturing relationships

Talking Point 2: Finding Joy in the Mundane It’s easy to overlook everyday tasks like laundry, cooking, or running errands. But God calls us to find joy in these mundane moments! When we shift our perspective and serve Him in every task, even the small ones, our days become more purposeful and fulfilling. Scripture: Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV) – “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”

Talking Point 3: The Power of Intentionality Life in the military can feel unpredictable. But we can still be intentional with our time, even in chaos. Setting small, achievable goals aligned with our priorities helps bring stability and peace in unpredictable circumstances. Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16 (ESV) – “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

Box 2: Home & Family Practical tips for managing household duties, caring for loved ones, and keeping a God-centered focus in the midst of military life. Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Box 3: Social/Relationships The importance of nurturing relationships with family, friends, and your community. Scripture: Matthew 6:33 (ESV) – “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Box 4: Physical Health Maintaining physical health as a reflection of honoring God with your body. Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV) – “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

Final CTA: Download the Balanced Living and Daily Routines Chart from the Resources tab on my website at selahbiblicalcounseling.com and start building your routine today. Commit your days to God, and watch Him bring peace and purpose to every area of your life.
