Debbie Lee lost her son Marc on August 2nd 2006 He was the first Navy Seal killed in action during Operation Iraqi Freedom Less than a year later, she held a picture of her heroic son while standing onstage with other Gold Star family members behind Tim McGraw as he performed a new song called "If You're Reading This" on national television Knowing he won't be returning home, the poignant song is a soldier's last letter to his wife and family It received a long tearful standing ovation from the audience at the Acadamy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas
