The Glass Menagerie, the University of Detroit Mercy Theatre Company's adaptation of the Tennessee Williams play, arrives at the Marlene Boll Theatre on February 7th and runs through the 16th.
Ahead of its debut at the Marlene Boll Theatre in Downtown Detroit, we spoke with director Joe Bailey, who is also the Art Director of The Ringwald Theatre in Ferndale, Michigan! In this exclusive interview, Bailey discusses the themes of The Glass Menagerie that were called to him and what drew him to want to direct this Tennessee Williams play. How did he approach this piece, and how did his directing change with a smaller cast of collegiate actors? Give this interview a listen to find out more about the incredible work Joe Bailey is producing for the local theater scene in Michigan and how The Glass Menagerie is another work of art for both the director and UofD Mercy.
