fascinating and well written.

actually I really loved it and I didn't think I would. I've never been that interested in monarchy but it was free so I tried it. I've always thought that monarchies are antiquated and far too elitist. while they are that, can see why the institution still exists.

Very informative

I like to think that I am a bit of a monarchy buff, but there were some details of the Queen's life that I had no idea of!

Refreshingly Insightful

Ruth Cowen has gone beyond usual surveys of the Queen's life with commentary that is crisp and pleasant. Highly recommend.

Quite Right Then

Was hoping for more "inside" revelations but nothing big that hadn't already been in the "news." Still a good summary of the "official story."

Enjoyable

It was a nice rounded overview of the topic that I had little knowledge of except in passing conversations with my grandmother. Not too much and yet filed in nicely. I would really enjoy learning more about this amazing woman in my future studies.

I very much enjoyed this 8-part series. Well narrated with a bit of wry humour and wit!
