We’ve fucked up and started over and changed our minds so many times in this life that we lost count. In our younger years, we made a lot of decisions that we thought other people wanted us to make and when we wanted to do something different, we waited for someone to tell us it was okay before we acted. But here’s a tip, Bestie: it’s not your job to convince someone to “get” you. There will always be people who don’t understand why we make the choices we do, but instead of waiting for someone else to get it, just be you and eventually you’ll get the affirmation you’re looking for. Life is too damn short to be living it for someone else.
