NAMS allows its members to learn about the many ways in which Medical Spanish can be incorporated in the different facets of Medical Education, and our community also provides insight into the needs of this language in Medical School Admissions and DEI initiatives.
In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Sandra Quezada, the Associate Dean of Admissions and Associate Dean for Faculty, Diversity, and Inclusion at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, as well as a Professor of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. During our conversation, she shares her journey towards Academic Medicine, and details how her own background with Medical Spanish has shaped the many roles and responsibilities she undertakes at the University of Maryland.
