  • 018 - God Uses the Broken and Redeemed
    Jan 30 2025

Thank you for joining us for today's episode. Today, we're joined by John Jarman, who shares his story of why God uses the broken and redeemed.

Get ready to be inspired by this story of redemption that can only come from the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus. John will have the attention of you and your listeners right from the start of your show. John is honest, passionate, and knowledgeable. He's also incredibly inspiring. John is a breath of fresh air in today's world. With no memory of his childhood till the age of twelve, John Jarman had no conscious way to overcome the unknown pain in his past. When his adult life crumbled around him, he finally reached out for professional help, both emotionally and spiritually. Over the next ten years, this inner work lead John to places he—and his counselor—would never have expected. As John moved closer to God in the process, the storm hit harder than ever, taking him to his knees. Discover how John got up and, by the grace of God, walked through the storm of his life and strengthened his faith through completely surrendering to his Heavenly Father. As John learned and shares in this book, trusting God and becoming vulnerable are the only way to true freedom. In Broken and Redeemed, John Jarman shares a story of beautiful, authentic brokenness that rests in the redemption only found in God.

  • 017 - How God Uses Our Creativity to Impact the World
    Jan 29 2025

In today's episode, we speak with Rich Kirkpatrick. He shares a powerful story about how God is using him in the creative space and how we can be used by God in that way too.

According to Rich, "I've been blogging since 2005. Since then I have met people all over the US as a speaker, friend, and leader who fit in what I call the creative tribe—or what some call 'creatives.' Growing up in a very strict environment as a creative meant dealing with structures and relationships that saw success as uniformity and conformity. It took me years of life experience and research to uncover that my natural inclination for curiosity that challenges the status quo is not only healthy, but a missing value in our workplaces, schools and personal growth. What if creativity is a process that we can all learn and grow from? There is science that proves it. We are all wired to create. So, here's the good news. Learning the creative process might help us become a better version of ourselves—our truer selves!"

Rich Kirkpatrick writes, consults, and speaks about the intersection of creativity, faith and leadership. In 2022 he authored MINDBLOWN: Unlock Your Creative Genius by Bridging Science and Magic. He is also a musician, songwriter, and recording artist with the group A Beautiful Liturgy. Rich is based in the East San Francisco Bay Area, CA.

This includes unpleasant memories. I had to learn how to release the feelings from the bad memories. I studied psychology and am now a Licensed Professional Counselor. I help people with depression and anxiety heal their past. I also help people with stress management and achieving their goals. I have written a self-help trilogy called Heal Your Memories. The books include self-help exercises on healing your past and inspirational stories of people who overcame life challenges. "Additionally, I have written a memoir of my experiences having my memory. My latest book, Stress-Free Success, is about how to remain stress-free while you achieve your goals." • 015 - What is the Trouble with Jesus?
    Jan 8 2025

In this engaging conversation, Constance Hastings shares her personal journey of faith, the challenges of doubt, and the significance of Jesus' teachings, particularly regarding women. She discusses her book, 'The Trouble with Jesus,' which explores the complexities of faith and the transformative power of God's love. Through personal anecdotes and biblical insights, Constance emphasizes the importance of understanding God's love and the courage it takes to navigate doubt and belief.

Constance Hastings brings an outsider’s perspective to what insiders know about the story of Jesus. Raised by non-religious parents, educated in a Christian school; lover of great literature, teacher of the disadvantaged; ordained in a mainline denomination, mental health counselor outside the church; she aims to make connections speaking in new places the old voices of meaning. With an edgy voice recognized by those caught in an existential dilemma, for those who have never or not been in church for a long time, for those who used to think they knew him, Constance Hastings confronts your concept of one of the most controversial figures whoever existed and the trouble Jesus means.
