  • Summary

  • You know, democracy isn't a one-stop destination; it's a continuous voyage. When it stalls, it becomes something else entirely. Here's what we're all about: making politics and social topics easy to grasp. And, we like to sprinkle in some satire for that extra flavor. It's our way of sparking discussions and raising awareness. Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fuse-democracy/support

  • Opiated Middle Class
    Mar 24 2024

This episode covers the harsh reality behind the middle class's shrinking influence in modern politics. We'll explore how this demographic, once seen as the driving force of democracy, now seems content to sit on the sidelines as elected autocracy takes hold. With a mix of wit and wisdom, we'll dissect the contradictions of a group that values progress but ignores democratic decay for the sake of personal comfort.

On the occasion of the 75th Independence of India, wishing a very Happy Independence Day!!

This episode is a gentle reminder of what we as a country have achieved and lost. It briefly states the recent events that took place in and around Delhi (capital of India) were extremely horrifying whether it's related to spying, rape, or manhandling of MPs. The deaths related to lack of oxygen during the Covid-19 peak are also mentioned in the episode. The sole purpose is to spread wokeness among citizens that we have lost so much by rejecting other's existence therefore, let's stop and let's start accepting.

This is just an effort towards the ongoing protest of Farmers in Delhi, India. This episode quotes Kafi Azmi, Munawwar Rana to describe the perception of Mazdoor (Laborer) and Kisan (Farmer) from a society point of view. Democracies have always been challenging because it's a constant process but to suppress ones basic right is not acceptable. The role of media (print or electronic) in a democracy is to fight for its freedom while showing mirror the government.
