In medical practice, a midwife guides and supports a woman through pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. Similarly, the Scripture reveals the necessity of having a “midwife” who helps bring forth your destiny. When God wants to use you, He surrounds you with people who strengthen and support His plan for your life.

As members of the Body of Christ, none of us is designed to function independently. You need others who will strengthen your hands in God and you, in turn, are called to strengthen others. Surround yourself with individuals who serve as destiny midwives, helping to deliver what God has placed within you. God provides such people; your responsibility is to recognise them, and allow them to fulfil their purpose in your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for the people You place in my life to strengthen and guide me. Help me to recognise destiny helpers and also be a source of strength to others.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
In this Year of Strange Oil, God surrounds me with people who advance His plan for my life. I walk in favour, and God brings destiny midwives to me in every season!

SITUATIONS STAND STILL

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Joshua commanding the sun to stand still remains one of the most debated miracles in Scripture. Some believe it’s poetic language describing prolonged daylight, while others take it literally. However you choose to interpret it, one truth is undeniable: an Old Testament man performed one of the greatest miracles in human history.

As a Christian, you carry authority far greater than Joshua’s. If he could command the sun and moon to stand still, then your situation must also respond to your words. Christ didn’t give you eternal life alone, He gave you eternal power to shape your world. Tell every negative circumstance in your life to stand still!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, help me to exercise the authority You have placed within me. Teach me to speak with faith so every negative situation aligns with Your will.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
Just as Joshua stopped the sun, every situation I face must comply with my words. I possess power that shapes my world. My situation is standing still at my command!

Then he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

The power of God is not revealed solely through His own hand; throughout Scripture, it is displayed through the men and women He chooses to use as conductors of His wonders. In today’s verse, the Creator of the universe introduces Himself using the names of the people He worked through, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Imagine holding such stature in the spirit that God identifies Himself by referencing your walk with Him!

Despite their flaws, God didn’t focus on their weaknesses but on who He created them to be conductors of His power. Likewise, God wants to demonstrate His power through you. You are His chosen instrument. Operate boldly in the authority He has given you, and walk in it today.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for choosing to work through me. Help me to walk boldly in the authority You have given me and to be a vessel through which Your power is revealed.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a conductor of God’s power! God shows His wonders through me. As I walk in the reality of my Christlikeness, no devil stands a chance, I’m untouchable!

In etymology a branch of linguistics that examines the origins of language, historians still debate when humanity first formed a common language. While the world remains uncertain, Scripture is not. The Bible reveals that there has never been a world without words. Before the foundations of the Earth, the Lord Jesus created everything through the power of His words. The significance of spoken words is so central to creation that Christ Himself is called the Word.

As His children, we’ve been given that same creative power. The Bible shows that when we place value on the words we speak, we evoke change in the spiritual realm. This is the Year of Strange Oil. Speak life into every area of your existence, for there’s power in your tongue!

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, guide my tongue to speak life at all times. Help me to use my words wisely, aligning my speech with Your truth to create godly outcomes.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
The same power-packed words God used to form the very foundations of the Earth have been entrusted to me. When I decree and declare, I silence the enemy’s advances and open new pathways for success.

There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification.

In medical practice, sound often determines life. A newborn’s first interaction with the world is a sound, it’s a cry. Doctors may even gently stimulate a silent baby just to hear that vital cry, a clear sign of life and healthy function. Hearing is also one of the last senses to fade at the end of life, underscoring its importance from birth to death. This natural truth mirrors a deep spiritual reality: sound carries significance in the realm of the Spirit.

Your Christianity is based on the sound you release through your confession. Many of the challenges people face can be traced to the sounds they allow into their lives, music, conversations, entertainment, and environments all carry spiritual implications. Scripture is clear: every sound has meaning. Ensure the sound of God’s Word is louder than every distraction around you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, tune my ears to hear Your voice above every other sound. Help me guard what I listen to, and let the sound of Your Word shape my thoughts, choices, and faith.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I refuse to listen to every voice. My ears are tuned to the right sounds, and the Word of God reigns supreme in my life.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Many quote today’s scripture while focusing on only one aspect of its meaning. It not only highlights the importance of being a competent student of the Word but also reveals the method required to study it. Just as division in mathematics splits numbers into equal parts, the instruction to “rightly divide the word of truth” shows the need to dedicate equal time and effort to every area of scripture.

Whether financial, marital, social, or otherwise, all scripture is for the benefit of the Church. Learn to divide your time evenly across everything the Word offers. When you grasp this, you arm yourself against the enemy regardless of the tool he attempts to use against you. In this Year of Strange Oil, let a balanced diet of the Word produce a balanced and victorious life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, help me to study Your Word diligently and with balance. Give me understanding across all scripture so I may live equipped, approved, and victorious in every area of my life.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I am a great student of the Word. As I divide my attention equally across all scripture, I arm myself with every advantage over the works of the enemy.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

In a court of law, ignorance is never a valid excuse. Sadly, many Christians are ignorant of the truths of scripture. Consequently, they live ordinary lives plagued by pain, poverty, lack, and struggle. Not because it’s God’s will, but because they’re unaware of what belongs to them.

The Bible is clear: God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, not because the enemy is too powerful, but because they’re unequipped to resist him. The Word of God is your arsenal. By reading and meditating on it, you gain the spiritual weaponry to defeat every attack of the devil. Refuse to live beneath your inheritance. Walk in the power and promises of God’s Word!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am a studious Christian! Through reading the Word of God, I am equipping myself for battle. When I read the Word, the enemy doesn’t stand a chance! Glory be to God. Amen.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

There’s a pandemic of Christians who fail to realise the power they possess to change their circumstances. Many respond passively to life, allowing circumstances to dictate their outcomes, instead of enforcing change. Statements such as “What will be, will be” or “If it’s mine, it will come to me” are lies from the enemy designed to block your inheritance.

As one who is born of God, you’ve been given authority and power to overthrow every plan and evil imagination of the enemy. You can call into existence all that Christ has given you. This means you can declare your prosperity, divine health, and command every kind of blessing to come rushing into your life. Take hold of God’s Word today, walk in its reality, and witness your life change forever.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I can never be blindsided! No circumstance is beyond my ability to change. I am not a reactive Christian; I cause things to react! Amen.
