The Night Safari in Mandai is celebrating its 30th anniversary, and the big draw has always been to see animals at night; lions, elephants, rhinos - the bigger, the better, you might think when it comes to entertainment value. And yes, when the lions roar, it's a sound that inspires awe and terror at the same time.
