A little research

As a South African I was disappointed that no effort was made to pronounce place names or South African phrases correctly in the Spioenkop episode. It's easy enough to find out how to pronounce the words.

Basic basic colonial history.

What an absolute sham of a podcast. Dont waste your time.

There are no new takes, and discussions of Cook and Custer leave MUCH to be desired What. Were the history books they used to write the script for this all from the 70s?

this podcast is a bit like being read essays out of an elementary school textbook. just the facts, sometimes the same facts twice.

Not recommended

Pretty basic for something called History Revealed. It could be a helpful starting point for someone who hasn't read anything about these subjects before if it wasn't so incredibly Eurocentric. The take on colonizer-indigenous relations is shockingly old fashioned and without nuance or reference to the indigenous people's own history. Not recommended except for the narrator's clear voice and good audio quality.
