The older I get, the more I realize how little I knew when I knew it all.

Even in my pride, my mother’s example and wisdom continually guided me to make better choices and brought me closer to God. Kids will be blessed by their parents’ wise choices – and bent toward their parents’ bad choices.

Some facets of God’s design for women can apply for us all. Even the apostle Paul said, “I was like a nursing mother, taking care of her own children,” as he focused on the needs of the churches in a very personal way.

Take time this Mother’s Day weekend to open your Bible and your heart to God’s Word for you in 1 Thessalonians 4.

While the world abandons morality, questions truth, and redefines goodness, God has an unchanging path of truth and righteousness for us to follow.

God’s will is not a secret blueprint for minute decisions He is hiding, but rather a revealed blueprint for wise decisions – and it’s called the Bible.

God calls us to walk a path of righteousness, to reject our lustful desires, and to avoid the dark alleys of this world. If you are increasingly the person God wants you to be, right choices will follow.
