Today we take some time to go over the book “House of My Mother,” By Sheri Franke. This book was written from the daughter's perspective of her childhood growing up with an abusive mom who continued to earn fame and success without thinking of the consequences to her but also to her children and their developmental features. This book is specifically written from Sheri’s perspective and does not speak about the story of her other siblings. It is written beautifully and helps to continue to get her story across.
Sheri starts going to a new therapist named Dana. She starts to see the abuse that is happening to her siblings and starts to try to take action about this. She becomes welcomed into the Haymond family as a support system. Sheri gets closer to her aunts and starts to take back her life. Ruby and Jodi are then arrested and it’s the start of the trial against their abuse. Where they finally get the justice that they deserve.
So sit back, relax, and this time we’ll be the judges.
