While GBV can impact anyone, LGBTQIA+ individuals face unique forms of violence rooted in discrimination, stigma, and a lack of legal protections. From intimate partner violence to hate crimes and workplace harassment, the challenges these individuals face are compounded by the intersections of gender identity, sexual orientation, and societal prejudice. In this discussion, we explore the intersection of gender identity, sexual orientation, and violence, and the importance of inclusive support systems. The conversation also touches on the role of service providers and other allies in addressing and preventing GBV within these communities.
