  • 5. Max & Nick interview with special guest Moe Winograd, double bassist

    Moe Winograd is a freelance double bassist, private instructor, and luthier-in-training in Atlanta.  He currently performs with the Georgia Philharmonic and the Metro Atlanta Philharmonic.

    Mr. Winograd received his Bachelor’s degree in Double Bass Performance from the New England Conservatory.  His principal instructors include Larry Wolfe (Boston Symphony Orchestra), Donald Palma (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra),  Ralph Jones (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra), Gary Karr (famed bass soloist), Joseph Conyers (Philadelphia Orchestra), and Kurt Muroki (professor – Juilliard School and Indiana University).  During his studies, Moe performed at the Victoria Summer Music Festival (Canada), Bowdoin Music Festival, Philadelphia International Music Festival, and Rocky Ridge Music Center.

    As an orchestral musician, Mr. Winograd has performed extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.   Other teaching positions held included Solfege Teaching Assistant at the New England Conservatory.

    Mr. Winograd enjoys teaching and performing music of different genres including jazz, soul, funk, rock, and hip-hop.

    About Mr. Chari... Joshua K. Chari is a full time musician and teacher in Roswell/Alpharetta, GA. He owns Music By Tritone, teaches, performs and records cello and guitar, and produces studio strings in the Atlanta area. He also provides orchestral, sectional workshops and coaching in over a dozen area high schools and middle schools.Joshua began his musical studies on the cello with the Suzuki Method at the age of 4. He went on to study with internationally known cello teacher Richard Aaron (presently a professor of cello at the Juilliard School formerly at the Cleveland Institute of Music) and Stephen Kates at the Peabody Conservatory-Johns Hopkins University. Joshua’s advanced guitar studies included work with Peter Vogl and Bill Hart (Atlanta Institute of Music and Media.)Joshua has taught cello and guitar for over 16 years and has had many students participate in Georgia All State Orchestra, Georgia Honors Orchestra, Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra, Emory Youth Symphony, Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, Ludwig Symphony Orchestra and Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra. He teaches students of all levels -beginner to advanced and enjoys helping students develop their musical interests and achieve their goals.

    Tritone offers:

    Private Music Instruction In-Person & online: Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums, Voice, Songwriting & Composition -all levels and ages: Children and Adults. We love beginners and advanced students and believe in presenting fundamentals-focussed, high-level instruction in a friendly, energetic manner. We create custom arrangements of all repertoire, precisely targeting appropriate difficulty level and instrumentation. The result: students feel challenged but not overwhelmed and they’re playing with their friends regardless of level differences…and playing the music they love!
