  • NWTF Convention Camp Talk!
    Feb 20 2025

In this episode my wife and I are recording from our camper at a KAO campground, in Nashville Tennessee! We attended the annual NWTF convention this week and had a freaking blast. We talk about our experience at one of the greatest outdoor shows in the world. We recap some of the extremely creative booths we visited, some of the people we met and much more. We also touch on the GNCC calling championship and how impressive some of the callers were that we got to go and watch! If you've never attended this event, I highly recommend you make it a point to get to it at least once! It's incredibly memorable for sure!

  • Turkey Hunting Tactics with Adam Weaver
    Feb 13 2025

In today's episode I have my good buddy Adam Weaver on. Adam is one of the best turkey hunters I know. I've been turkey hunting with Adam for a little over 4 years and he has taught me a ton about turkey behavior, calling and turkey hunting in general. Today Adam and I discussed a multitude of things. We talk a lot about pre-season scouting and what that looks like for him. We discuss locating gobblers, "figuring out what they're doing" in the week leading up to the season, habitat types and types of sign to look for and much more. The main focus of today's episode is a brief overview on tactics. We talk about once you locate that gobbler on opening day, what you actually have to do to close the deal. Adam talks about calling conservatively and utilizing woodsmanship to attain success rather than hammering on a box call or mouth call.. and what that looks like for him. Overall an awesome episode about turkey hunting, and I hope you all take something away from this. Thanks for listening!

  • Shed Crazy with Ray Johnson
    Feb 6 2025

In this week's episode I have Ray Johnson on the show. Ray is an avid shed hunter. Ray and I talk about the ins and outs of walking around the woods looking for freshly dropped antlers. Ray is so crazy about finding and getting his hands on these things that he will, like most of us take vacation during the rut to hunt.. he will do the same to go shed hunting. Ray talks about walking 30+ miles in a day to locate shed antlers from specific bucks! We discuss the different type of areas that he frequently finds most of his sheds, some of the strategies he deploys to be successful and much more! Thanks as always for listening!
