Welcome to the Minds Never Matter Podcast!

We are a real-play, narratively driven homebrew campaign that follows four budding adventurers as they take on their most perilous challenge yet -- being college students.

In our first ever session, we get introduced to each of our party members: Emilia Victosolis, the Paladin noble with a not-so-heart of gold; Pogo Stardust, the hard-working Barbarian doing his best to become a Wizard; Cecily Belghriom, a bubbly Cleric with the same vibe as a homeschooled church fanatic; and Sartheleon Grey, the charmingly self-centered Rogue with more problems than his aim with a dagger as they're whisked away for Orientation Day at the Adventuring College of Elona -- the top university in Divitotum for preparing potential adventurers to join one of the many guilds that can be found in the world upon graduation.

As the party try to connect with each other for the first time despite their very obvious differences, they're given their first task as an official adventuring party: signing up for clubs and extracurriculars.

In session two, our party experiences campus life at ACE for the first time, and the unfortunate consequences of not declaring a melee attack as "non-lethal". After a confrontation with ACE's headmaster, the elusive Aasimar Juno Everheart, our adventurers experience their first day of classes. From Pogo taking an interest in Elonian history and Sartheleon becoming invested in the locations of the many magic artefacts throughout Divitotum, Cecily being asked out by everyone's favorite baking Bugbear, Cook, to Emilia facing off against her estranged fiancé in the middle of a class presentation, each of our "heroes" start learning the hard truths of being a student at the adventuring college.

Sartheleon meets a mysterious woman that knows a little too much about him, Cecily manages to avoid killing someone -- but she does explode the Alchemy club's lab -- Pogo may actually have the potential to become a powerful wizard after all, and Emilia gets the surprise of a lifetime when she takes her official Oath as a Paladin.

A threat emerges when police sirens interrupt what should have been an easygoing day, and the party find out that one of the students has been kidnapped. The party pull their own version of a heist to try and find out more, but may have just made the rumors surrounding their bad behavior worse than they could have ever imagined after -- allegedly -- punching law enforcement

In session five, the party decide to travel by train to Laxor to investigate the secret message (ransom note?) left behind at the scene of Cook's kidnapping after the party ran to Emilia's dorm room to hide from the authorities to complete their somewhat successful heist. While hiding out in her dorm, they realize Frederic has become way less of a jerk than he was before after seemingly swearing an Oath of his own. Whether the kidnappers, or Pogo, are more of a threat to society, however, has yet to be seen.

Our adventurers are finally back after taking a brief hiatus (being an adult is hard). After a wild night at the local tavern, the party realizes that the quaint, carb-heavy village of Etta veers into... uncanny territory. Cecily gets invited to a town lunch while meditating nude at sunrise, Emilia shows her true colors after convincing a man to destroy his own property, Sartheleon gets a large sum of money in a totally legal way, and Pogo learns how to be an upstanding member of nobility. Things take a turn for the worse when poking around the village for information turns into a race against the clock when everyone's favorite Soulknife gets himself trapped in a meat freezer.

After rescuing Sartheleon, the party finally commit to trying to figure why the townspeople in Etta are so weird, but our humble "heroes" might be the only real crazy people in the village. Going from store to store, the party start opening up about themselves thanks to the townspeople's weird interest in icebreaker questions that get a little too personal. The party may not have any leads on Cook's whereabouts, but they are uncovering a juicy love triangle brewing within the village.
