  • Episode 51 - Shirley Jo Phillips and the murder of Wilma Plaster
    Jan 8 2025
Join Curtis and Hayden when they sit down with Terry and DeDe Sanders and the Folk Chronicle’s true crime historian, Tammy Morton, for an in depth look at the infamous case of Shirley Jo Phillips, who murdered her friend Wilma Plaster in 1989. Sometimes a crime is remembered because it touched us in some strange and utterly unpredictable way. Such is the case for Terry and DeDe, who bought the home in which Lela Kyle, Shirley Jo’s mother, was living shortly before her murder following Mother’s Day. The Sanders recall visits from the FBI to their home and offer their own insights into what might have happened while Tammy fills in the gaps on a crime that still makes us shudder.
