Prayer and Fasting, Our Weapons of Warfare

  • Summary

  • 2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

God has given us his spirit and weapons of warfare to help us live to our fullest potentials as his children

And what we're talking about today is how prayer and fasting are the two key means he has given us to help us achieve his plans, his will, and purposes through our lives. The only power that makes the Christian life possible is the Holy Spirit in other words, Living life as a Christian cannot be accomplished in our own strength by our own will but only in our dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit working within us.

Throughout the bible there are so many examples of men & women of god who had to accomplish things beyond their natural ability & were led to turn to prayer & fasting as a means of being greater vessels of god's anointing and power.

Among those are Moses, Queen Esther, Paul and Silas, Jonah, Samuel, David, Elijah, Ezra, Daniel and of course Jesus.

Saint Augustine stated at one time, ”without God man cannot and without man God will not!” This means that everything God accomplishes on earth he accomplishes through a person of faith. God has given us His spirit and His weapons of warfare to help us live to our fullest potentials as His children

In today’s message we're talking about how prayer and fasting are the two key means God has given us to help us achieve His plans, His will, and purposes through our lives.
