In this episode, I share the story of a sex offender I worked with while he was on parole and in court mandated Sex Offender Therapy. This case involves an offender who was 19 years old when his girlfriend was 16. I walk listeners through the shocking details of the sexual assault, how the allegations came to light, and the steps taken to address and manage the situation. Throughout the episode, I provide insight into the therapy process, the challenges of working with offenders, and the lessons learned from this complex and difficult case.
All names and identifying details have been changed to protect the privacy of both the victims and the offender while maintaining the integrity of the case.
