A recent interview with the managing director of a leading investment banking group based in Switzerland (The Rothchild Group): Dr Jogishwar Singh shares insights into how he made the move from being a Scientist to a high respected Director and suggests ways to enter this competitive industry. We had an opportunity to learn about what inspires him and how the media portrays this market sector. Dr Jogishwar Singh was born at Khanna (India) in 1951, he served in the IPS and IAS before leaving India in 1984, a year of cataclysmic events for Sikhs in India. He restarted his professional career from scratch in Switzerland where his previous experience as an IAS officer had no resonance at all. M.Sc (Hons School) in Physics, M.A. in History from Panjab University Chandigarh, Dr Singh did his D.E.S.S. at Sorbonne in Paris, followed by a PhD from Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg, Germany. Dr Singh is fluent in eight languages and has basic knowledge of two others. A truly inspirational guest.
