She has been involved in research piloting wellness and mindfulness sessions in hospitals and was awarded the Advancement in Medicine Grant with Avant in 2018. She enjoys medical writing with several publications on health professional wellness and is a published author of the self-help book Mastering Real Wellness.

    In addition to her clinical work, she founded Ataraxia Collective, a health and wellness business offering doctor CPD & well-being retreats, well-being workshops and a blog. She is an accredited yoga teacher RYT200 with Yoga Alliance. She was a board director for the RACP 2016-2018 and is the Chair of the Member Health & Wellbeing Committee (RACP) & director for Mood Active a NFP that promotes exercise as a mental health intervention. Dr Ward hopes to encourage a compassionate and mindful medical culture that supports holistic health for patients and health professionals.

    Dr. Sarah Samaan is a retired cardiologist and a Master Certified Physician Development Coach. She graduated from medical school in 1988 and practiced cardiology until 2022. Sarah retired with the intention of pursuing her other life passions, including studying the arts and competing in the equestrian sport of dressage. She is also a registered yoga teacher and certified mindfulness meditation teacher.

    As a cardiologist, she served as Chief of Medicine and Chief of Cardiology at busy hospitals in her community and was a Physician Partner at a busy heart hospital. She currently works with the American College of Cardiology's Clinician Well-Being Working Group.

    Sarah is currently enrolled as a full-time Masters of Fine Arts student at the University of Hartford. Combining her interest in the arts and her commitment to a sustainable future for physicians, she works with her local medical school's Arts and Humanities program, introducing the humanities to medical students as a way to foster deeper connections and understanding with patients and others in healthcare.

    In her coaching practice, Sarah works with physicians dealing with professional transitions, burnout, and time management challenges.

He has held leadership roles, including Medical Director of Pediatric Echocardiography and Clinical Pediatric Cardiology, and served as a mentor to medical professionals. Dr. Reinking founded The Developing Doctor to help physicians develop the skills, mindset, and resources necessary to create the life and career they envisioned when entering medical school.
