Tennessee State Head Coach & Former NFL RB Eddie George Visits

Written by: Jason Jackson Kirk Morrison Eddie George
  • Summary

  • Jason & Kirk discussed Florida International University hiring Willie Simons as their next head football coach. This is a great hire and is a win for the university. Willie has had success in the state of Florida and as Jason points out, every NFL team has at least one player that has played high school football in Florida. The resume speaks for Willie Simmons. He is the right guy for the job. The show wraps with a chat on the comments from Grambling Women's Basketball Head Coach Courtney Simmons saying SWAC teams getting blown out by power schools, like her squad's loss to LSU recently, is damaging to the confidence of SWAC players. Jason & Kirk disagree fundamentally in that mid- majors have to take hits to get money for their schools to survive. Kirk points out his memories of being a mid-major playing against blue-chip schools.
