Before joining Aldermore Bank in 2021, Steven was CEO at C. Hoare & Co, the UK’s oldest privately-owned bank, where he developed and led an extensive programme of change. At the age of 16, Steven worked at Barclays, starting as a branch cashier and worked his way up to lead several of their major businesses, including Barclaycard Business Solutions, Personal Banking for UK & Europe, and Business Banking in the UK.

WorkL Founder, Lord Mark Price speaks to Liz Jackson MBE, Sales & Marketing Director at Initium Corporate Finance (formerly BCMS). At the age of 2, Liz was diagnosed with a degenerative eye disorder which meant that by the time she was 25 she was blind. Amazingly at this age, Liz set up an award winning company, Great Guns Marketing, which she ran for 17 years and was awarded an MBE in 2017 by the late Majesty Queen Elizabeth for services to business.

In this episode, Liz talks about her early school days and the struggles that came with going blind and the impact it had on her education. Liz also shares how she got into her first sales role and transitioned from being an employee to business owner to now working with entrepreneurs and being a co-owner at Initium Corporate Finance.
