  • S2 | Ep 4 Out of the Mouth of Babes - Part 1
    Mar 24 2026

    We heard from the girls!
We surveyed girls ranging from upper elementary to college age with 4 questions about sharing or shutting down with their moms. It was eye opening to us and we'd like to share what we heard from them with you. It's going to transform the way you parent your girls.

Here are the questions we asked:

    1. What are a few things your mom has said or done that has made you shut down and not want to talk further?
    2. What are a few things your mom has said or done that has made you comfortable to talk to her/ share something with her?
    3. Share a question (or a couple) that you wish your mom would not ask.
    4. What could your mom do/say that would make your want to share?

  • S2 | Ep 2 Discussing this uncomfortable word with a Biblical Perspective.
    Feb 24 2026

Listen to today's episode to hear about how we take a word that's often uncomfortable and explore a Biblical perspective about it. We try to see it from God's eyes, reduce the overwhelm and make it "doable" for us, and we talk about why it's so important as we raise our girls. Let's gain a Biblical perspective as our girls are already hearing about it from a non- Biblical paradigm.

  • 8. When I Am Unhappy With My Body… - And What Does That Have To Do With My Girl?
    Jul 8 2025

Almost every woman I know has something they struggle with in their body.
But what do we need to pay attention to? And why does it have anything to do with my girl?
We talk about all of this in todays epidsode of the Momz With Girlz podcast. I pray it blesses you.
    Until next time,
    Shalini

Some questions to ask ourselves from todays podcast:

    1. When it comes to the appearance of our body, what defines good?
    2. Do I have to work to get there?
    3. How do I know when I have arrived?
    4. What am I picturing will happen when I get there?
    5. How am I thinking I will feel then?
    6. What is preventing me from feeling that way now?

So, how do I view my body?
What are the things I tell myself about my body when I look in the mirror?
Where are those voices coming from? What are they based on?

  • 7. When Your Girl is Unhappy With Her Body
    May 7 2025

I dislike the word "fat", and discourage the use of it in my home, yet it is a real word and one that can describe how we feel. It's heartbreaking when our girls may use a word like this to describe themselves. In today's podcast we talk about the reality that our girls may feel unhappy with their bodies, and especially focus on this frequent challenge - a precious daughter feeling "fat". We talk about how we can respond to her in a way that makes her feel heard, how we can be her ally, and some things we can do to help her navigate it.

    Until next time,
    Shalini

  • 6. A "Critical" Look at 3 Parenting Scenarios
    Apr 9 2025

Does it feel like a majority of your interactions with your daughter are combative? While we can't always change the way our girl perceives the things we say to her, one area we can explore is "does she feel that all I do is criticize her?". In todays episode we talk about what might be an alternative, why it's important and how we can go about it.
    Until next time,
    Shalini

  • 5. SELF- CARE- the first step to helping our girls learn how to take care of themselves well
    Mar 26 2025

Does it concern you when your girl isn't taking self-care seriously?
Whether it's not getting to sleep when she should, or drinking enough water versus other drink options- we want our daughters to take care of themselves so that they can think or perform well in school and be healthy and well. Plus we know they won't always be under our care where we can set some boundaries and provide balanced meals. We want them to thrive now, and know how to continue doing so when they leave home to college or whatever are the next steps in their lives.
Today I talk about the first step we, as moms and mother figures can take to help our girls start to recognize the importance and value of self-care.

    Until next time,
    Shalini
