I believe that meditation has great benefits, many of which I have already experienced myself: Stress relief; better sleep; increased concentration; self-control; emotional stability ... However, all these benefits are secondary, and if they are misunderstood as the primary goal, meditation becomes an end in itself and not the path it should be. The primary purpose and essence of meditation goes far beyond the desire to improve well-being.
