  • Keala Settle
    Oct 27 2024

In this episode, Tim & Nathan chat to stage and screen star Keala Settle. After a string of critically acclaimed credits on Broadway, she was catapulted into the international limelight when she starred alongside Hugh Jackman in The Greatest Showman.

She also features in the big screen adaptation of Wicked, out in cinemas later this month, but she’s currently starring in new musical Fly More Than You Fall at Southwark Playhouse Elephant.

We sat down with the Keala during rehearsals to discuss coping with grief, which is a central theme in the piece; how her mother was partly responsible for her Broadway success; and why she loves her lengthy commute to work!

  • Jac Yarrow & Zizi Strallen
    Apr 19 2024

In this episode, Nathan chats to Jac Yarrow, who, fresh out of college, played the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium; and Zizzi Strallen, whose many stage credits include playing Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre, Fran in Strictly Ballroom and most recently Marie Antoinette in Cake.

Together, they’re about to appear in a star studded concert version of Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin, alongside the London Musical Theatre Orchestra and a 50 strong choir!

Nathan sat down with the pair to find out how rehearsals are going, discuss why they’re in awe of Alex Newell, and find out why the the aspirations of Pippin were very similar to that of original choreographer Bob Fosse.

In this episode, Nathan chats once again to Frank Wildhorn - composer of epic musicals such as Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland and Bonnie & Clyde to name but a few!

His last project, Death Note - based on the hugely successful Japanese manga comic franchise - had its sold-out European premiere at the London Palladium, followed by an additional run at the Lyric.

Now he’s back in London with another page-to-stage manga adaptation - Your Lie In April - which makes its English language debut at the prestigious Theatre Royal Drury Lane next week.
