In "Memories of Saldea", "A Wager", and "The Far Snows", Hadnan Kadere shows his true colors, Greg wonders whether the Shaido will complicate Rand's political aspirations, and Tylor confesses to loving at least one romantic plot in this book.

In "The Practice of Diffidence" and "Trapped" Leane shows her calculating side, Tylor tries to assemble the pieces of Siuan's long term plan, and Greg explains how Gareth Bryne is no longer following Kermit's car (it makes sense in context).
