    On November 17th, 1973, five teens went to the Gitchie Manitou State Preserve on the Iowa-South Dakota border to hang out and play guitar. Three brothers found them sitting by the fire and began shooting. Only one of the teens survived the night. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss what has become known as the Gitchie Manitou murders. The only survivor was a 13-year-old girl. She was dropped off at home by one of the men, and she was able to give the police many details about what had happened that night. The brothers all had a different story to tell, with each of them blaming someone else for the shootings. Lacked luster and felt like a lecture

While I appreciate the research these guys put in for their stories… this podcast felt more like I was listening to a university lecture instead of a podcast.

Detailed

Mike and Gibby are so detailed in their research and storytelling. I’ve never listened to a podcast before but I was looking for some true crime (books) to read or listen to and came across them. They go through a new case each week and it’s perfect for true crime junkies! I think they started in 2016 so there’s a lot to catch up on if you’re just getting started, which is great if you want your true crime fix everyday.

I can't stand true crime podcasts that are

I can't stand podcasts that are in a way not scripted or researched properly. Candace DeLong has the best podcast and Serial Killers on Spotify. No offense but the random conversation feel of your episodes are boring.
