    This week on Miami Vice: Switek's bets and debts catch up to him and he's not alone. A star Hurricanes quarterback named Kevin with an overbearing stage dad (an old friend of Stan's) and shady manager, is also facing gambling debts. Both of them will get caught up as Vice busts the gambling ring run by and then subsequent hit on Chi Chi Vasquez, and both of their debts rack up getting them and those around them into hot water. Switek is not alone as Crockett and Tubbs are there to try and help him through his issues that aren't really about his girlfriend, as he claims.     This week on Miami Vice: Trudy goes under as a prostitute to catch a serial killer who is carving his mark into his victims. Could it be the eclectic artist with a penchant for violence and knives (Cory Tagawa is back)? Continuity be damned this episode as Castillo can't decipher whether these markings as Japanese or Thai (despite previously living there, speaking Thai in previous episodes and being married to a Thai woman...?) so Vice enlists the help of a professor of Asian studies to help them catch the killer. Trudy gets closer and closer and ultimately way too close for comfort in the search for the killer. Crockett and Keith, the witness, butt heads but, the generation gap narrows as they get to know each other better. This episode might be dated in my 2024 (RIP Expos) but, some things, like bumping heads with your elders, never change.     This week on Miami Vice: Vice minus Crockett (with a very clearly ADR'd-in excuse of testifying elsewhere) is trying to get in with Borrasca, who is part of a splinter cell group that uses drug money to fight communism in the made up country of Puerto Rubio. As Tubbs and Switek get closer, a very shadowy and overly-tanned figure warns them to back off and he goes way back with Castillo. Reese, may or may not be sanctioned by the government and Castillo is doing his best to see what side of the law he is while Vice tries to get closer to Borrasca through his connections: a retired detective (OOF RIP), a gorgeous nightclub owner and associated goons. Will Vice be able to get Borrasca to trial for his crimes without interference?
