Virender Sehwag was that fearless Indian opening batsman who changed the definition and style of opening for the Indian cricket team. Having been born in Najafgarh, Delhi, Sehwag was known worldwide for his explosive batting.

Whether it was a test match or ODI, in his initial days, he used to approach all matches with a similar mindset and that was to put the opposition bowlers under pressure from the word go. As his batting matured, he did start adapting more to the match and pitch conditions but was never the one who the opposition was able to rattle with their pace or bounce.

Sehwag went on to be the only Indian to score two triple centuries for India and also for a short time, he was the highest ODI run-scorer.
