Herman, the fire engine, used to be really popular and successful. He would be the first to lead parades and save homes from fires. But then came newer, bigger, faster trucks, and poor Herman was banished to the back of the firehouse, never to be used again. Never again, that is, until your own child becomes friends with Herman. Your child's belief in Herman's importance inspires Herman to be ready for the day when everyone will realize that he can still make a difference.

There once was a cool, little car named George the Great. He was older than most cars, but wise because of his age. George has always been a positive thinker since the day he set his tires on his owner's farm! But no matter how happy and positive George the Great was, it didn't stop the newer, more modern cars from making fun of him. They would say he's just too small to be a good car and that he's too old. However, George knew that no one ever got anywhere in life thinking negative thoughts.

Throughout the years Stevie the Steam Shovel has helped dig many holes. Stevie is a real team player, a piece of machinery with heart. But not everyone feels that way anymore. Stevie is getting older. Stevie and his operator Patty are being forgotten about. No one wants to use Stevie the Steam Shovel anymore.

There was once a little green airplane named Andrew. Not only is Andrew the Airplane smart, but he's also great at his job. Nobody could fly like Andrew the Airplane, but now the newer and bigger planes don't think Andrew is good enough to keep up with them.

Sometimes Gus feels left out, picked on, or even forgotten by his family. He wonders what life might be like if he had no brothers or sisters, and if he was an only child.

There once was a very dedicated little, gray bulldozer by the name of Buddy. He lived on a ranch with his owners Andy and Eileen. Andy and Eileen loved him dearly. Buddy did a lot of chores around the ranch like making new roads and clearing the way for farm equipment. He always wanted to be the best bulldozer he could be!
