C.S. Lewis' famous work on the nature of love divides love into four categories: affection, friendship, eros and charity. The first three are loves which come naturally to the human race. Charity, however, the gift-love of God, is divine in its source and expression, and without the sweetening grace of this supernatural love, the natural loves become distorted and even dangerous.

A fictional story in which the protagonist seeing the need to address the widespread broken family syndrome is commissioned by his Creator to launch a family restoration movement which starts with Black People, and eventually takes in all interested ethnic groups.

Each section is designed to be a discussion session for a group or 5-12 students about the essay "A Grief Observed" by C.S. Lewis. Allow each student to respond to the first question before going on to the next. Allow for more time if some student has difficulty understanding or answering the question. It is my hope that these will assist you in helping young people make sense of death(s) in their lives.
