The Life of Adam and Eve, (also known in its Greek version as the Apocalypse of Moses), is a significant Jewish apocryphal writing that tells in colourful detail the fate of Adam and Eve after their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. It provides more detail about the Fall of Man, in which Satan explains that he rebelled when God commanded him to bow down to Adam.

This collection of readings moves through the calendar year one day—at a time. For every day, a favorite quotation from the literature of Alcoholics Anonymous is followed by an A.A. member’s personal reflection, making for daily ingestion that is at once inspired and inspiring. These 1028 poems, grouped as 10 ‘Circles’ (mandalas), have variously been called hymns, poems or songs by Sanskrit scholars. This was some decades before the Maccabee uprising in Judea, as chronicled in 1 and 2 Maccabees.
